Our loving brother, Philip A. Dorn passed away on June 5th, 2022, in Harrisburg, PA. Private services were held for the immediate family.
Phil was born in New Kensington on July 25th, 1949, to the former Jim and Dorothy Dorn of Carlisle PA. He graduated from Rutgers with his Master of Business Administration and currently worked for the Enterprise Rental Car Company in his retired life. Formerly he was in the banking industry in which he was the VP of mortgage services and received numerous leadership & presidential club awards.
Phil was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved the game of baseball. He also enjoyed his regular Enterprise buddy breakfasts, trips to the beach, his new puppy Harper, weekly book reading, cooking, wood crafting, and traveling the world to include attending the Tour de France.
Phil is survived by his siblings, James Dorn of Carlisle, PA; Mary Johnston (Dorn) of State College, PA; a nephew, Alec Johnston of Denver, CO; and a niece Allison Johnston of State College, PA.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association, heart.org, a nonprofit organization of the United States that funds the medical research to fight heart disease. “Of adults who suffer cardiac arrest and are admitted to the hospital without a pulse, less than a quarter survive.” Please wear red in his memory to support heart disease. It was also his favorite color!
