Yelena Shirokov

YELENA SHIROKOV

Yelena Shirokov, 88, a resident of Green Ridge Village, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Swaim Health Center, Newville.

Born April 4, 1930 in Mozir, Belarus, she was the daughter of the late Nakhman and Maria (Chuhman) Minevich.  She was the widower of Vsevolod Shirokov.

Mrs. Shirokov was preceded in death by siblings:  Evsei Minevich, Sonia Gajkhberg, Klara Zvonkin and Anna Turetski.

Surviving are a daughter:  Maria Eckrich (Terry) of Shipppensburg; a grandson:  Paul Smith of Maryland; a brother:  Semyon Minevich of Harrisburg; 2 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, with Rabbi Carl Choper officiating.  Burial will be in Churchill Cemetery, Oberlin, PA.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 A. M. until time of service.
