William E. Sheets

William Emory Sheets of Shermans Dale, PA was born November 13^th, 1937 to John and Gladys (Wilson) Sheets in Carlisle, PA. He passed away February 25^th, 2024 at home with his family by his side.  

Predeceased by Father John Sheets, Mother Gladys Foote, Step-Father Miles Foote.  

Surviving are loving wife Shirley (Holloway) Sheets, Sons Michael (Kimberly) and Robert (Joanne).  Three grandchildren Benjamin (Morgan) Sheets, Charity (Benjamin) Jones, and Dillon Sheets.  Three great-grandchildren Max and Chole Jones and Beatrice Sheets and many cousins.  

Bill retired as a Millwright after 40 years. He served in the National Guard.  He was a lifetime member of the NRA, and a charter member of the Shermans Dale Lion’s Club.  His hobbies included hunting, trap shooting, fishing, gardening and mowing his lawn.  

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00 P. M. at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle with Chaplain officiating.  Private burial will be in Young’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Shermans Dale.  The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 1:00 P. M. until time of service.
