VERA M. PETRUSKA
Vera Mae Petruska, 90, of Boiling Springs, died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born July 16, 1925 in Cairnbrook, Somerset County, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Oljias) Zugrovich. She was the widow of Steve Petruska, Jr.
She was the last of seven children.
During World War II she was employed at the Fairchild Aviation Plant in New York City. She was also involved with her husband in providing life insurance from the William Penn Life Insurance Association for over 25 years.
Surviving are three daughters: Elaine (Brian) Engle of Boiling Springs; Mary (Andrew)Groshans of Carlisle; Jenny (Stanley, Jr.)Sunderwirth of Colorado and a son: Michael (MaryAnn) Petruska of North Carolina; six grandchildren: Laura and Michelle Petruska, Heather and Keith Groshans and Emma and Owen Engle and a step grand daughter: Keenan Sunderwirth.
A Memorial Gathering will be held locally. Burial will be Johnstown, PA.
