RUTHANNA E. WALKER

Ruthanna E. Walker, 73, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Penn State Holy Spirit.

Born May 18, 1949 at Dillsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd E. Trump Sr. and Grace E. Harbold Trump.

She graduated from Northern High School where she was a member of the Color Guard and received a typing award during her senior year.

She retired from IBM as a Marketing Manager after 47 years of service during which she traveled all over the world and across the U.S.  During her employment she received numerous awards for her knowledge and work ethic. She definitely broke the glass ceiling!

Ruthanna loved to volunteer and help others.  She was a board member of the Dillsburg Senior Citizens Group and cooked and baked for many years for the Dillsburg Farmer’s Fair. Additionally, she published several Recipe Books for churches and senior centers.

Ruthy loved to craft and sew, especially Teddy Bears.  Ruthy also loved to sing and listen to music of all genres.  She was also a black powder gun enthusiast and won many awards for her skills.

She was preceded in death a sister Pauline Bushey and a brother Lloyd Trump Jr.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Larry Walker; nieces and nephews, a close family friend, Anthony Hicks of Raleigh, NC and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle.  Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.  Viewing will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
