RONALD GEREDIEN

Ronald Geredien, 90, of Carlisle, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at home.

Born October 13, 1926 in New York, NY, he was a son of the late Hans and Paula (Kehrer) Geredien.

Mr. Geredien was a retired machinist from American Aluminum in MountaisSide, NJ.

He was a graduate of Springfield NJ High School, where he served as concertmaster for the school orchestra.  Mr. Geredien was very involved with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, was a former Applachian Trail hiker and volunteer and an overall AT enthusiast.

Surviving are his wife: Ruth (Ross) Geredien; three daughters:  Lynn Keys of Dover, Pa; Joan Beard of Bridgewater, NJ and Liz Colalillo of Piscataway, NJ; a son; Ross Geredien of Riverdale, MD and three grandchildren:  Margaret Keller, C. J. Colalillo and Lynda Colalillo and a great grandchild:  Victor Colalillo.

Services will be private.
