Robert Ritter

Robert C. Ritter, 73, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.

Born July 27, 1945 in Mechanicsburg, he was the son of the late John L. Ritter, Jr. and Mary E. (Barrick( Ritter.

Bob was a U S Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Great Hope Baptist Church, Carlisle.

He was a life member of VFW Post 6070, Newville, American Legion Post 421, Newville and the Williams Grove Steam Engine Association.

He was preceded in death by a son:  Joseph.

Surviving are his of 43 years:  Barabara (Martin) Ritter; a daughter:  Julie Grimes of Mt. Holly Springs; two sisters:  Patricia (Dave) Sheriff of Carlisle and Linda K. (Joe) Shields of Enola and two grandchildren:  Jillian and Jonathan Grimes.

Funeral services will be  held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, with Pastor Dale E. Barrick officiating. Burial with military honors by the Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.  Viewing will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon until time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Great Hope Baptist Church, 110 Fern Avenue, Carlisle, PA 17013.
