RALPH L. EBERLY

Ralph L. Eberly, 95, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.

Born August 1, 1923 in Plainfield, he was the son of the late James S. Eberly, Sr. and Dasie (Wilson) Eberly.  He was the widower of  Leona Eberly and Ethel Eberly.

Mr. Eberly was a U S Army Veteran of World War II having served in African Theater of operations and was awarded two Purple Hearts for wounds received in the Italian Campaign.

Mr. Eberly was retired from Capitol Products, Mechanicsburg and then was employed part time for 20 years at Giant Foods, Carlisle.

He was a life member of the AmVets, Corp. Orlando Newcomer  Post 477, American Legion Post 101, Eagles Aerie #1299 and the White Circle Club, all of Carlisle.

Surviving are a daughter:  Jeannie Bear of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother:  James S. Eberly, Jr. of Carlisle and several Grandchildren an Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.. M. Thursday, August 9, 2018 from the Ronan Funeral Home, Carlisle.  Burial with military honors by the Cumberland County Honor Guard, will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.  Viewing will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 P. M. until time of service.
