PATRICIA A. KUHN

Patricia A. “Patty” Kuhn, 88, of Boiling Springs, passed away on November 1, 2023 at UPMC Carlisle.

Born January 2, 1935 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Roy B. and Edna (Keck) Killian.

Patty was retired from PA Dutch Candies, Mt. Holly Springs.  She was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School.

A member of St. John Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs, she was active there as a Sunday School teacher, WELCA and the LYFE Committee.  She was also a faithful choir member and a member of the Altar Guild for many years.

Patty also served the local Scouting community as a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years.

Surviving are her husband of 70 years, Charles R. Kuhn, Sr., three sons Charles R. (Cindy)Kuhn, Jr. of Carlisle, Larry E. (Debra) Kuhn of Coatesville and Douglas L. (Arelis) Kuhn of Shippensburg; two daughters Teresa A. (Terry) Books of Newville and Melissa J. (Scott) Watts of Hopewell, VA.  Also surviving are grandchildren  Michele Kuhn of Carlisle, Douglas Kuhn Jr. of Newville, Stephanie (Justin) Chestnut of Shippensburg, Bradley Kuhn of Shippensburg, Eric Kuhn of Coatesville, John (Kirby) Kuhn of West Grove, Nicole (Michael) Sims of Clarksville, TN, Isaac Watts and Iris Watts of Hopewell, VA, Terry J R Books of Olney Springs, CO, Zachary Books of Newville and Brittney (Ryan) Books of Newville, 19 great grandchildren 1 great great grandchild.        

Memorial services will be held on November 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. from St. John Lutheran Church, 111 Walnut Street, Boiling Springs, PA with  Rev. Kevin C. Stout officiating.  Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A. M. until 11:00 A. M. Burial will be Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Organ Fund of her church.
