MARY LOU WELTON

Mary Lou Welton, 84, of Carlisle, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 in the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home.

Born April 4, 1927 in Erie, PA, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Lillian (McChesney) Snyder and the widow of Frederick Clark Welton.

For many years she was the President of the Electoral Board of Ashtabula County, Ohio and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs. Welton attended Carlisle Baptist Church.

She loved reading, flower arranging, gardening, camping and playing games.

Surviving are a daughter:  Gay D. Freeman of Carlisle; two sons:  Frederick Clark Welton, Jr. of Salineville, OH and John E. Welton of Carthage, North Carolina;  four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Memorial sevices will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 from the Carlisle Baptist Church, 701 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Richard Wall officiating.   Visitation will be on Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Capital Area Unite, 2 Lemoyne Dr., Ste 101, Lemoyne, PA 17043.

Ronan Funeral Home, Carlisle, assisted the family with arrangements.
