LOIS LOSCHER

Lois Loscher, 87, of Boiling Springs, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at home.

Born March 30, 1928 in Mechanicsburg, she was a daughter of the late Delbert and Ada (Weigle) Meloy.

Lois was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, Class of 1945 and was a member of Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church.

Earlier in her life she had been employed at the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot and later at Kessler Meats at the Carlisle Farmer’s Market.  Her favorite hobbies were birdwatching, sewing and needlework.

She was preceded in death by two sisters:  Thelma Shaner and Adelene Neiles and a brother:  Delbert “Ross” Meloy.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years:  James Loscher; two daughters:  Kathy (Robert) Anderson of New Bloomfield and Nancy (Randy) Diehl of Boiling Springs; a son:  David Loscher of Connecticut; eight grandchildren:  Scott and Brent Anderson, Kristen Getic, Matthew and Brian Diehl, Eric, Marissa and Kimberly Loscher, and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church, 300 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Myrtle McCall officiating.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs. Visitation will be at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and also at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church, 300 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg, Pa 17055.
