LILYBELLE “LILY” (RONAN) DEIHL
Lilybelle “Lily” (Ronan) Deihl, 86, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Chapel Pointe in Carlisle.
Born April 15, 1939 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Mary G. (Nickel) Ronan.
Lily had worked in banking, the Carlisle School District and retail sales. She also assisted her husband in running his business. After retiring, she was employed as a Tipstaff for Cumberland County Courts.
She was a member of the Carlisle First Church of God. Earlier in her life she was a church youth leader, taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. She also sang in the church choir for many years and was involved with the Pioneer Girls.
The last of her siblings, she was preceded in death by 8 brothers: William, Nelson, Joseph, Raymond, Ralph, Jacob, Franklin and David and a sister: Rosemary Jumper.
Surviving are her husband, Lee M. Deihl, a daughter, Carol (Tim) Wetzel, a son, David (Marlene Sweger) Deihl and two grandchildren, Adrienne Bishop (Kodiak Firesmith) and Everett Sweger-Deihl, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Carlisle First Church of God, 705 Glendale Street, Carlisle, with the Rev. Michael Poe officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Burial was private in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Pointe, 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 or the Salvation Army, 469 E North St, Carlisle, PA 17013.
