Lee M Deihl, 87 of Carlisle passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026 at Chapel Pointe in Carlisle.
Born October 20, 1938 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Mark Deihl and Mary J.E. (Derr) Lehman.
Lee worked in construction and in 1967 began the partnership: Fickes and Deihl Contractors and later established Lee M. Deihl Building and Remodeling in 1972. After retiring in 1998, Lee worked in the Castles Lumber Company store.
He was a member of the Carlisle First Church of God. Earlier in his life he was a church youth leader, church trustee, council president, and leader of Boys Christian Service Brigade . He served as treasurer of the Candy Cane Bible Club for many years. Throughout his life he volunteered his time with church projects, as well as camp and missions building projects.
Lee was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lily (Ronan) Deihl, a brother William Lehman and brother Dale Lehman.
Surviving is a daughter, Carol (Tim) Wetzel, a son, David (Marlene Sweger) and two grandchildren, Adrienne Bishop (Kodiak Firesmith) and Everett Sweger-Deihl, sisters, Joyce Gensler, Freda Baker, Fern Bergeron, Sandra Phipps and brothers Ronald L. Deihl and Larry M. Deihl, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Carlisle First Church of God, 705 Glendale Street, Carlisle, with the Rev. Michael Poe officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial was private in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Pointe, 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 or the Salvation Army, 469 E. North St, Carlisle, PA 17013.
