Lawrence A. Snellen

Lawrence Snellen, 94, passed away peacefully on December 26,2025 in Carlisle, PA. He was born to the late Myron and Blanche Snellen (Mckinney) in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Lawrence worked in the grocery industry in Missouri for all his adult life, except for his time in the Navy. He served in the Atlantic Fleet during the Korean War. He was a store manager for Kroger and Riverview Dairy. He was a loving father and devoted grandfather; he would tell everyone how proud of them he was. He enjoyed being outdoors: hunting, fishing and walking.

Lawrence is survived by his daughter, Susan Green (Mark) of Carlisle, as well as three granddaughters, Lydian (Dan) of Washington, DC, Eleanor (Johnny) of Syracuse and Channing (Anthony) of Houston.

Lawrence was one of five siblings and is survived by his sister, Margaret Lee Allen of Jefferson City, MO, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael and brothers, Roy, Robert and Gerald.
