KAREN ANN “LOLLY” SLUSSER

Karen A. “Lolly” Slusser, 61, of Carlisle, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at home.

Born March 7, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Dorothy (Peterson) Cox.  She was the widow of Matthew J. Slusser, Sr., who died August 25, 2004.

Mrs. Slusser was retired from the US Army War College, Carlisle and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Carlisle.

Surviving are a daughter:  Barbara Slusser Miller of  Carlisle; three sons:  Matthew J. Slusser, Jr., of Sahuaritz, AZ; Steven C. Slusser of Norfolk, VA and Sgt. 1st Class Gerard M. Slusser of Raleigh, NC; two sisters:  Dorothy Homan and Joann Cox, both of New York; three brothers:  Gregory Cox and Michael Cox, both of New York and Kevin Cox of Florida; 12 grandchildren:  Quortnee, Chelsee, Joshua, Caitlen, Blaine, Kali, Avery, Jamall, Alex, Gianna, Matthew and Kaden and eight great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A. M. Friday, February 7, 2014 from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey, VF, as celebrant.  Viewing will be at the Ronan Funeral Home on Thursday evening  from 6 until 8 P. M. with a Prayer Service at 7:45 P. M.  Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to Celtic Hospice, 220 Wilson St., Suite 100, Carlisle, PA 17013.
