JUNE E. SHELLEHAMER

June E. Shellehamer, 87, a resident of the Church of God Home, Carlisle, and formerly of Newville, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

Born June 23, 1926 in Newville, she was a daughter of the late Harry B. and Henrietta R. (Hackett) Shellehamer.

Miss Shellehamer was a member of the Newville First Church of God.  She had retired from the former Reeves-Hoffman, Carlisle.

She was preceded in death by a nephew:  Jerry E. Chestnut.

Surviving are a sister:  Bertha Chestnut of Carlisle; a brother:  Edward ( and wife Karolyn H.) Shellehamer of Carlisle; a niece:  Nancy (and husband Charles) Shaffer of Carlisle and a nephew:  Tomm Chestnut of Harrisburg.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, April 8, 2014  at the Chapel of the Church of God Home, 801 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev.  Bradley Moore officiating.  Private burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newville First Church of God, 475 Shippensburg Road, Newville, Pa 17241.

Ronan Funeral Home, Carlisle, is assisting the family with arrangements.
