JOSEPH J. ADAMS
Joseph J. Adams, 69, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at PennState Hampden Medical Center.
Born January 19, 1956 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Foster Charles and Mary Kathleen (Wonn) Adams.
Mr. Adams proudly served his country in the U S Army during Vietnam, in the 82nd Airborne stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. He was a self employed truck driver. During his teenage years he worked as a coal miner in his father’s coal mine in Schuylkill County.
His love of Harley-Davidson Motorcycles was unending. Joe was the consummate outdoorsman and loved anything that was gun related. He loved reading and he and his mother would swap books incessantly. He loved fishing and hunting, especially with his grandchildren. Joe possessed a very tender heart for our Veterans and took great pleasure in honoring and helping his fellow veterans.
Surviving are his wife: Denise (Bowers) Adams, his sons: Joseph (Tara) of Lewistown, Jeffrey (Monika) of Elizabethville, Joshua (Kayli) of Newport and Zachary (Toni) of Mifflintown as well as 1 sister and 4 brothers. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Dekklyn, Lillen, Audrey, Asher, Aurora, Belle, Veronica, Natalie and Ryder, and his beloved furry children, Mollee and Gunner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Appalachian Harley Davidson, 6695 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg PA 17050 on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 1-4 PM in the Pavillion.
