James Jamieson

Lt. COl. (Ret) JAMES R. JAMIESON

Lt. Col. (Ret.) James R. Jamieson, 85, of Boiling Springs, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Specialty Select Hospital, Camp Hill.

Born March 22, 1934 in Hartland, ME, he was the son of the late Raymond and Pauline (Baker) Jamieson.

Lt. Col. Jamieson was retired from the U S Air Force, having flown fighter planes in Vietnam.  He was awarded both the Silver Star and Distinguished Flying Cross.

He graduated from Hartland Academy in 1952 and Colby College, Waterville, ME, in 1956.

Jim was a members of the Masonic Lodge in Maine.  He loved to golf and after his retirement, earned his Realtor’s License and was a Realtor in the grater Harrisburg area for many years.

Surviving are his wife:  Martha Ann (Harding) Jamieson; children:  Pamela Lassiter of Kingsland, GA; David Jamieson (Diane) of Winterville, NC; Dr. Timothy Jamieson (Michele) of St. Simons Island, GA and Jennifer Stahl (William) of Hastings, FL and his grandchildren:  David Kuitems, Rebecca Kuitems, Anna Lassiter, Turner Jamieson, Henry Jamieson, George Jamieson, Isabella Jamieson, Jamieson Simon, Maggi Simon, Harper Stahl and William Stahl, III.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Ronan Funeral Home, 25 York Rd., Carlisle with the Rev. Bruce Fensterbush, officiating.  Visitation will be the the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30 P.M. until time of service.  Interment in Indiantown Gap  National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
