Herbert Gardner, Jr.

Herbert K. Gardner, Jr., 69, of Dauphin, passed unexpectedly at home on September 25, 2022.

Born December 30, 1952 in Greenville, South Carolina, he was the son of Alice R. Gardner of Carlisle and the late Herbert K. Gardner, Sr.

Mr. Gardner was a 1970 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School and served his country in the U S Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  He was named Outstanding Marine of his platoon during basic training.

He was a contractor having worked for Kohler Construction and then was self-employed.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter:  Lisa Lucht of North Carolina; a brother: Michael P Gardner (Cindy) of Carlisle and a sister: Suzanne Gardner of Carlisle. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Grace Community Church, 325 Silver Spring Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 with the Rev. Dr. Terry E. Zebulkse officiating.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Visitation will be at the church on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 11:30 AM.
