HARRY K. FRY
Harry K. Fry, 94, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at UPMC Carlisle.
Born July 31, 1931 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Harry W. And Orpha M. (Lebo) Fry.
Mr. Fry retired from the former AMP, Inc., where he worked as a Lab Technician. He was a member of Barnitz United Methodist Church and Mt. Holly Springs VFW Post 7343. His love for family, gardening, home repair jobs and cooking will be forever associated with his core character.
On February 10, 1952 he married the love of his life Janet Rockey, who id with us today. Their 73 years together were a true love story- filled with devotion, adventure, laughter, and a love so deep it touched everyone who knew them.
Harry proudly served his country in the U S Air Force during the Korean War. He was a man of quiet strength and unwavering faith, always ready to lend a hand, share a story, or offer perspective.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful sister, Sarah Kell.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters: Debra J. (Robert) Dunbar of Lexington, KY and Donna L. (Bert) Kingsborough of Mt. Holly Springs. Also surviving are grandchildren: Jaime (Shaun) Campbell, Kelly Dickerson and Benjamin J. (Grace) Sweger, all of Lexington, KY, Diane and Beth Kingsborough, both of Carlisle, his great grandchildren: Leah and Michael Kingsborough of Carlisle, Hayle Campbell, Cameron and Macy Dickerson of Lexington, Clay and Landon Sweger of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Wanda Kutz and Brian and Brent Kutz.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted from the Ronan Funeral Home, Carlisle, on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 12 Noon with the Rev. Matthew Plant, his pastor, officiating. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial, with military honors, will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to his church, 23 Church Lane, Carlisle, PA 17015.
Above all, Harry will be remembered for his steadfast love, his faith, and the joy and wisdom he brought to everyone who knew him.
