Gayle N. Roberts, 91, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 in the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born February 21, 1924 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Emma (Kramer) Snyder.
Gayle was a graduate of Carlisle High School and had been employed at the former Erie Frequency Control, Carlisle. She was a member of the Carlisle Country Church.
She loved to paint landscapes and she lived the Commandment to love.
She was preceded in death by two sisters; Dorothy Ocker and Mary Jane Nevin.
Surviving are a daughter: Judith Himes of Hanover; two sons: David Roberts of Carlisle and John Roberts, Jr., of Dillsburg; a brother: Paul F. Snyder, II of Carlisle; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Wayne Hall, officiating. Private burial will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A. M. until time of service.
