FRANCES L. BEHRENS

Frances L. Behrens, 81, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.

Born November 1, 1936 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Leona (Stringfellow) Sherman.  She was the widow of James A. Behrens.

Mrs. Behrens was a 1956 graduate of Carlisle High School and was a retired Nurse’s Aid from Carlisle Hospital.  She was a member of The Meeting House, Carlisle.

She was preceded in death by a daughter:  Karen Mixell.

Surviving are two sons:  Jack Crowl of Carlisle, and Donald Crowl of Delaware; two stepsons:  Daniel Behrens and Steven Behrens, both of Carlisle and a stepdaughter:  Tammy Behrens of Mechanicsburg;  three sisters:  Bonnie Foltz and Shirley Eppley, both of Carlisle and Darlene Alexander, of Kentucky; a brother:  Robert “Bobby” Sherman of Carlisle; 11 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
