CHERYL LYNN SHUGHART
Cheryl Lynn Shughart, 58, of Shippensburg, died Friday, August 22, 2014 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born June 9, 1956 in Uniontown, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Harry L. Greer and Nedra (Shatt) Greer of Oakland, Md.
Mrs. Shughart was a former Teller Supervisor for the former Farmer’s National Bank of Newville and a former teller for the Adams County National Bank.
She was a graduate of Cental Penn Business School. She was a loyal member of the Newville Assembly of God, where she was involved in the Women of Purpose, the Royal Rangers, Missionettes, served as head of VBS for many years and was a former Sunday School Teacher.
She was currently serving as President of the Carlisle Area Mothers of Multiples and the State Treasurer for Pennsylvania Mothers of Multiples.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father in law: Lester Shughart and brother in law Todd Shughart.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband: Alan; four sons: Jeremy (and wife Jennifer) of Ashburn, Va; Eric of Blue Bell, Pa and twin sons Michael and Mark, both at home; a sister: Deb (and husband Gene) Durben of Oakland, Md; a brother: Harry Greer, Jr. of Orlando, Fl; two grandsons: Cody and Gavin; her mother in law Vada Shughart of Shippensburg and sister in law: Brenda (and husband Harry) Enyeart of Shippensburg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from the Newville Assembly of God, 403 Oak Flat Road, Newville with the Rev. Jeffrey W. Kettering officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be at the church on Monday evening from 6:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. and also on Tuesday from 9:30 A. M. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, 403 Oakflat Road, Newville, Pa 17241.
