Caroline Hoffman

Caroline (Red) Hoffman passed away at her home in Loysville on June 30, 2025; she was 48. Caroline was born in Carlisle on November 24, 1976. She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1996 and served in the health care industry at Penn State Hershey. She is survived by her daughter, Taylor Shearer; her parents, Stanley Metzger and Kim Paulus; her grandparents, Russell (Pete) and Jean Mitten; 2 brothers, Alec and Kyle Metzger; 1 niece and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Caroline liked things clean, neat and organized. She enjoyed watching old movies, writing in her diary, and fixing things. Her drink of choice was Mountain Dew.

Green Spring First Church of God, 1140 Greenspring Rd in Newville will host a memorial service on Saturday, July 12, 2025, 11:00. She will be laid to rest in the Landisburg New Life Assembly of God cemetery, at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made in Caroline’s name to Green Spring First Church of God, Newville.
