Beverly A. Malmendier

BEVERLY A. MALMENDIER

Beverly A. Malmendier, 90, of Cornwall and formerly of Boiling Springs, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Cornwall Manor, Cornwall.

Born February 21, 1936 in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Margaret (Juffs) Alder.

Mrs. Malmendier was a Registered Nurse and retired from Corning Hospital in Corning NY, where her children grew up. After Bev retired, she and her husband moved to Boiling Springs. She made friends wherever she lived, all of whom knew her as kind and caring, always willing to lend a helping hand to others in any way she could. Bev enjoyed hosting family and holiday celebrations and was a wonderful cook - her lasagna and her turkey pie were both legendary.

Beverly was a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle, and was a current member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Cornwall.

Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Joseph W. Malmendier; son, Paul Malmendier; daughter-in-law, Kathy Malmendier; son-in-law, Gary Shortt; grandchildren, Eleanor and Kayla Malmendier, Lindsey Shortt Messersmith and Kiley Shortt; three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Shortt, and her son, Mark Malmendier.

Private services will be held at a later date.
