Barry Kilmore

Barry Walter Kilmore, 76, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

Barry was born in Mechanicsburg, PA on July 5, 1945. He was the son of the late Walter and Evelyn (Shughart) Kilmore. He graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 1964. He was a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and faithfully served there for 59 years. He retired from Capital Products after 17 years and started Kilmore’s Kake Kupboard in 1979. He was known as the “Kake Man” to many around the Carlisle area. He continued to provide “Quality Cakes for Every Occasion” until 2021. Barry received great joy in providing cakes for birthdays and weddings to many families and especially enjoyed seeing the joy in young children when they saw the cakes he made for them. Pappy loved his 6 grandchildren dearly and spending time with them gave him great joy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sally; daughter, Jenny (LJ) Brown of Albemarle, NC; son, John (Dianna) Kilmore of Milford, OH; grandchildren Abigail Brown, Michael Kilmore, Nathaniel Brown, Alyssa Kilmore, Sarah Kilmore, Elisabeth Brown; sister Joyce Morgan; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services Thursday, December 2nd at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mechanicsburg, officiated by Pastor Steve Crews, Pastor Ross Ritchey and Pastor LJ Brown. Visitation at 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am.
