Barrie M. Hughes, 70, of Carlisle, died Monday, February 10, 2014 in HCR Manor Care, Carlisle.
Born January 18, 1944 in Fallen Timber, Cambria County, Pa he was a son of the late Wilbert and Marjorie (Weston) Hughes.
Barrie was a U S Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and was the former owner of Superior Maintenance.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are two daughters: Tina Sauter and Deb Brownawell, both of Carlisle; a son: Terry Hughes of Carlisle; a sister: Karen Cornelius of McConnellsburg, Pa; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, February 14, 2014 from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle with Pastor Shad Baker officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 A. M. until time of service.
