BARBARA LIGHTNER

Barbara Lightner, 77, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.

Born September 6, 1948 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Geraldine (DeWalt) Lockridge.

Barbara had worked for many years as a purchasing agent for the former C H Masland in Carlisle and also worked at Chapel Pointe. She was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Wiser and her former husband Glen Lightner, III.

Surviving are her son, Glen Lightner IV and his partner Sharon Colpo of Mechanicsburg, a brother, Tracy Lockridge and his wife Andrea of Virginia and a granddaughter Emma Samardzic and her husband Dorian of Lancaster.

Private services to remember her life will be held at a later date.
