ARTHUR V. ENCK, SR.

Arthur V. Enck, Sr., 90, of Boiling Springs, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

He was born on June 24, 1921 in Carlisle, the son of the late Arthur G. Enck and Esther Brown Enck.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret K. LeMaster Enck, who passed away on May 21, 2004.

Arthur served his counry in WWII in the US Navy and later worked for the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg.  He was the developer of Countryside Acres in Boiling Springs.  He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle and the Carlisle Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Diehl, Harriet Black and Lois Alspaugh, and one grandson, Scott A. Enck.

He is survived by three sons:  Art V. Enck, Jr. and wife Lucian of Boiling Springs, Garry L. Enck and wife Sandy of Carlisle, Terrence M. Enck and Karen Gasper of Boiling Springs; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.  There will be no viewing or visitation.

Ronan Funeral Home, Carlisle, is assisting the family with arrangements.
