ALFRED W. FARRIS, III

Alfred W. Farris, III, 56, a resident of the Church of God Home, Carlisle, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013  in the home.

Born January 5, 1957 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Alfred W. Farris, Jr. and Vivian (Evans) Farris.

Al’s career was centered around sports.  He retired from Carlisle Barracks as youth sports director.  He enjoyed coaching many sports teams including several years with St. Patrick School basketball.

Surviving are three brothers:  Seth of Carlisle, Creedin of Newport News, VA and Mitchell of Reading; and a sister:  Althea Olcus of Carlisle.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday at the Carlisle Barracks Chapel.  There will be no viewing or visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God Home Forever Caring Fund, 801 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.
