ADOLPH LORENCE

Adolph "Donk" Lorence, 96, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Transitions at Claremont.

Born August 31, 1922 in Ford City, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Josephine (Laskowska) Lorence.  Mr. Lorence was the widower of Mildred (Hegar) Lorence, who died September 5, 2006.

He was retired from PPG, Ford City PA.

Mr. Lorence was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Carlisle.  A U S Army veteran of WWII, he served in Africa and Italy as a Medic.  He was a member of BPOE #578 and VFW Post #477, Carlisle.

Surviving are two daughters:  Susan Love and Marcia (Jeffrey) Shank, Carlisle; three sons:  Marc (Carol) of Carlisle, Michael of Jackson, MS; Gregory (Sandra) of Carlisle; two brothers:  Frank of Pittsburgh and Carl of Harrisburg; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at St. Patrick Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle with Fr. Joshua Cavender as Celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.  There will be no viewing or visitation.
