JERALD W. STAHLER

Jerry Stahler, 54, of Carlisle, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 3, 2007.

Born May 28, 1952 in Danville, he was the son of Warren E. Stahler and the late Alice Mingus Stahler of Berwick

He most recently attended West Shore Evangelical Free Church and was formerly a member of Carlisle E-Free Church.

Jerry graduated from Berwick Area High School, received his Bachelor of Religious Education from Baptist Bible College and an honorary Master of Christian Counseling degree from Logos College. He was a teacher, guidance counselor and principal in Christian schools for over 20 years.

His talents included wood working, stained glass and computers but his passion was his ministry with his students.

He is survived by his loving wife: Lynn Wilson Stahler, whom he married December 16, 1978; two sons: Kent Stahler of King of Prussia and Kevin Stahler, and his wife Jennifer of Mechanicsburg; his beloved in-laws: Bob and Ethel Wilson of Mechanicsburg and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007 at the West Shore Evangelical Free Church, 1345 Williams Grove Road, Mechanicsburg, with Pastor William Robert Wilson, Jr., his brother-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be at the church on Saturday from 9-11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassion International, Colorado Springs, CO 80997-001.
