STANLEY “STAN” WILKINSON

Stanley “Stan” Wilkinson, 59, of 305 N. Bedford Street, Carlisle, passed peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born December 10, 1945 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late John R. and Helen M. Wright Wilkinson.
Mr. Wilkinson was a retired custodian from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. He had also worked at Dickinson College.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Carlisle.
He enjoyed horse training, motorcycles, horseback riding, cars and music.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Dora C. Wilkinson.
Surviving are his companion: Jo Rice of Carlisle, a son: Brian of Harrisburg; five sisters: Anna DuBois, Shelby Jackson, Catherine Roland and Sheila Wilkinson, all of Harrisburg and Marilyn Brown of Carlisle; a step sister: Lena Graham of Carlisle and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from St. Paul Lutheran Church, West and Louther Streets, Carlisle, with the Rev. Robert Seibold officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and also at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-12 noon.
