WILLIAM K. BARRETT

William K. Barrett, 82, of 1131 Longs Gap Road, Carlisle, died Tues. March 25, 2008 in Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born Jan. 19, 1926 in Lewistown, he was a son of the late William K. and Helen Paltanovich Barrett.
He was a US Navy Veteran of W.W.II and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Carlisle.
He was a crystal engineer at Reeves-Hoffman, McCoy Electronics and Murata Corp. Mr. Barrett was well known for his skill in designing crystals for various applications.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Jean Elizabeth Barrett and Barbara Jane Leeper.
Surviving are his wife: Margaret Norris Barrett; two daughters: Cynthia Barrett-McKeehan of Butler and Theresa Kradel (and her husband Richard) of Butler; two sons: Timothy Barrett (and his wife Sylvia) of Carlisle and Patrick Barrett of Burlington, VT; seven grandchildren: Floyd Brownawell. Jr. ( and his wife, Janet); Beth Anne Bellaji (and her husband Jon); Rebecca Anne Bowser (and her husband David); Joshua Barrett (and his wife Jessica); Jeremiah Barrett (and his wife April); Estelle Barrett; and Renae Kulp (and her husband Justin) and nine great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Mon. March 31, 2008 from St. Patrick Shrine Church, 140 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Viewing will be at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle on Sun. evening from 7-9 p.m.
