MARY A. TRITT

Mary A. Tritt, 82, of Carlisle, died Monday, March 10, 2007 at home.

Born August 21, 1925 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Irene Snell Rohrer.

Mrs. Tritt was a graduate of Carlisle High School.

She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Carlisle.

Mary had been employed by United Telephone, the Tuberculosis Association and helped her husband with his business, Tritt’s Fire Extinguishers. She had also worked as a church secretary.

She was preceded in death by a grandson: Toby Mackey; sisters: Grace Armold and Dorothy Snyder and brothers: John, Lester and Leroy Rohrer.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Clair Tritt; two sons: Clair R. Tritt of Carlisle and Dwight Tritt and his wife Patrice of Boiling Springs; three daughters: Molly Mackey, Robyn Wampler and her husband David and Adele Kay Miller, all of Carlisle; a brother: George Rohrer of Shermans Dale; two sisters: Violet Miller of Carlisle and Beverly Murtorff of New Kingstown; eight grandchildren: Kevin and Alan Tritt, Dawn DeStito and her husband Mike, Deanna Fry and her husband Chris, Christine and Rachel Wampler, Jynell Hull and her husband Thomas and Jeremy Miller; five grandchildren: Davin Young, Jacey Fry, Christine and Kendra DeStito and Ashton Hull.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Jan Custer will officiate. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11 a.m.
