FLORENCE L. STURR

Florence L. Sturr, 86, of Hamlin, Pa, died Sunday evening, May 28, 2006 at the home of her son in Mechanicsburg.

Born October 8, 1919 in Scotland, U.K., she was a daughter of the late William and Florence Lee Richmond. She was the widow of Philip Sturr, Sr. who died in 1997.

Mrs. Sturr was active in the Bidwell United Methodist Church, Hamlin and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Dillsburg.

Surviving are two sons: The Rev. Philip Sturr, Jr. of Mechanicsburg and Roy W. Sturr of Kingston, Pa, a daughter: Lee Janner of Hamlin/Ledgedale, Pa; a sister: Agnes Simpson of Brick, NJ, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Wednesday, May 31, 2006 from the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, 146 S. York Street, Dillsburg, with the Rev. Thomas Myers officiating. Burial will be in Wesminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bidwell United Methodist Church, P O Box 474, Hamlin, Pa, 18427 or the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, 146 S. York Street, Dillsburg, Pa 17019.
