MARY A. ANDERSON

Mary A. Anderson, 88, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

A daughter of the late Perry and Bessie Parks Burkholder, she was born Sept. 11, 1919 in Pinecroft, Pa. She was the widow of Robert L. Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was retired from Westinghouse Corporation in Baltimore, where she was an x-ray technician. She was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Lorraine Ebert and Alverta Hollen.

Surviving are a daughter: Suzanne Hickes of Carlisle; two sons: James L. Anderson of Breinigsville, Pa and T. Michael Anderson of Boca Raton, Fl; a brother: Terry Burkholder of Harrisburg; a sister: Thelma Hostler of Pasadena, Md; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, March 22, 2008 from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle. The Rev. Dr. Jonathan Terry will officiate. Burial will be in Crownsville Veteran’s Cemetery, Crownsville, Md. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
