Mildred H. Lorence

Mildred H. Lorence, 81, of 21 Greystone Road, Carlisle,and formerly of Ford City, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

Born in Charleroi, Pa on December 19, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Caroline Body Hegar.

Mrs. Lorence was retired from Mellon Bank, Ford City Office, where she was an assistant manager. She enjoyed quilting, baking cookies, sending greeting cards to family and friends. She was a devoted and loving mother and a holy and devout Catholic.

She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Carlisle.

Surviving are her husband: Adolph, with whom she just celebrated 60 years of marriage; 2 daughters: Susan and her husband Gary Love and Marcia and her husband Jeffrey; 3 sons: Marc and his wife Carol; Michael and his wife Ginny and Gregory and his wife Sandra, all of Carlisle; 2 sisters: Dorothy Doms and Cecelia Nimerosky, both of Ford City; 6 grandchildren: Marc and his wife Anita Love of Bakersfield, CA; Sara and her husband Patrick Bowers of Carlisle; Heather M. Barrick of Chambersburg; Kristi and her husband Alan Davis and Julie and her husband Scott Panko all of Carlisle and Michael and his wife Erica of Charlottesville, VA and 9 great grandchildren: Ethan, Avery, Lucas, Madison, Alexandra, Elena, Jake, Anna Grace and Bella Ward.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, Sept. 8, 2006 from St. Patrick Shrine Church, 140 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, with the Rev. William C. Forrey as the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Viewing will be at the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, on Thursday evening from 7-9 pm with recitation of the Rosary at 8:30 pm.
