Louella E. Lear
Louella E. Lear, 93, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 in the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
Born October 20, 1912 in Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Hattie Farner Stum.
She was primarily a homemaker but had worked at the former Wolfs Store on North West Street in Carlisle.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Carlisle, the Old Bellaire Chapter, O.E.S.. and the Daughters of the Nile.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Harold, James, and Kenneth Stum and three sisters: Mary Ellen Piper, Manelva Erford and Ethel Arbegast.
Surviving are a daughter: Joyce L. Crossley of Camp Hill; a sister: Martha Stum of Carlisle; two grandchildren: Karen Ridge and Patricia Ruiz; two great grandchildren:; Alex and Rachael and number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2006 from the First Lutheran Church, corner of High and Bedford Streets, Carlisle. The Rev. Charles A. Brophy will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 9-10 a.m.
