JAMES D. HEISEY

James D. Heisey, 79, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 in Tulsa.

Born Aug. 26, 1928 in Mechanicsburg, he was a son of the late James P. and Mary E. Heisey.

He graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1946 and attended the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.

He was a U As Air Force veteran of the Korean War serving from 1948-1952.

His career spanned 28 years beginning with Cities Service Oil Company of Philadelphia. He continued his advancement through positions of increasing responsibility until his retirement as Manager at Occidental Petroleum in Tulsa, OK.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Olive, two brothers: Robert and Charles and a sister: Dorothy Mains.

Surviving are a daughter: Margaret Brewer and her husband Bill of Broken Arrow, OK; a son: Bradley and his wife Courtney of Overland Park, KS. Five grandchildren: David and Kevin Brewer and Cassie, Graham and Emma Heisey; a brother: Jacob and his wife Ina of Carlisle; a sister: Anna Ritchie of Mechanicsburg and sister-in-law Mae Heisey of Carlisle.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007 from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle. The Rev. Myrtle McCall will officiate. Burial with military honors provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
