
ALMA MAE GISELMAN
Alma Mae Giselman, 78, of 114 Woodlawn Lane, Carlisle,passed with the comfort of her family surrounding her on Monday, December 26, 2005 in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Middlesex Township.
A daughter of the late Ira and Vernon Katherine Johnson Rush, she was born in Sproul, Pa on February 22, 1927. She was the widow of Frank Giselman who died August 15, 1974.
She attended Claysburg-Kimmel High School.
She was a retired Matron from the Cumberland County Prison. She had also been employed at Hunts Crystal Plant and the Dutch Pantry. For many years she attended the Carlisle Farmers Market where she sold crocheted items.
Mrs. Giselman was an avid Washington Redskins and Boiling Springs Bubbler fan.
Surviving are two daughters: Shirley Whitten of Carlisle and Deborah L. Giselman of New Oxford; two sons: Jack F. Giselman of Lancaster and Jeffory I. Giselman of Mt. Holly Springs; two sisters: Nancy Zembower of Claysburg and Vivian Ickes of Ohio; a brother: Dennis Rush of Colorado; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, December 30, 2005 from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle. The Rev. Dennis Killinger will officiate. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 pm until time of services.
