JOHN F. CONRAD

John F. Conrad, 78, of 82 Fairview Street, Carlisle, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005 in the Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.

Born March 23, 1927 in Cumberland County, Pa, he was the son of the late Robert V. and Ruth A. Weaver Conrad. He was the widower of Catherine M. Welsh Conrad.

Mr. Conrad was retired from the Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg where he was a Steam Boiler Fireman. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II.

He was a member of Orlando Newcomer VFW Post #477

Surviving are a daughter: Beverly D. Rydman; a stepdaughter: Karla Roberts; two sisters: Ethel Earley and Cathryn Brewbaker; a brother: Robert S. Conrad, all of Carlisle; a grandson: Brian Rydman; two step-grandsons: David and Jason Roberts; two great-grand daughters: Brooke and Erica Rydman and two step-greatgrandchildren: Brooke and Collin Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 19, 2005 from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle, with the Rev. Wayne Good officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 pm.
