BETTY JANE A. MYERS
Betty Jane A. Myers, 84, of Boiling Springs, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in the Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle.
Born July 29, 1923 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Norman E. and Anna Hoffacker Fuhrman. She was the widow of Marlin E. Myers.
Mrs. Myers was a graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover.
She had been employed at Doubleday Books, Food Fair and Allenberry Inn and Playhouse. Her last position was as a book keeper.
She enjoyed camping and had traveled several times across the United States with her husband.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs, the Adult Sunday School Class and the Koionia Bible Study group.
Earlier in her life she was involved in the Luther League and the church choir in her Hanover church. She was also active as a leader in the Brownies and Boy Scouts.
She was preceded in death by her son: Blake and all of her sisters and brothers.
Surviving are a daughter: Anita Lanious (and her husband, Gary) of Carlisle; two grandchildren: Ethan and Hanna Lanious and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 from St. John Lutheran Church, 111 Walnut Street, Boiling Springs with the Rev. Carolyn S. DeStephano officiating. Visitation will be after the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs.
